Throughout his forty-year career, he was—and remains—a highly respected figure to many.
He became one of the most respected officials of his generation in both Belgian and international equestrian sport, thanks to his exceptional knowledge, unwavering sense of justice, and steadfast commitment to the integrity of the sport.
Those who knew Jacques understood that beneath his outspoken nature lay a warm, dedicated, and loyal personality.
He always stood by his convictions and never hesitated to take a difficult stand when necessary.
His laughter, sharp wit, and characteristic twinkle in his eye will remain etched in the memories of many.
His love for equestrian sport and his dedication to the people around him have left a lasting impact. Goodbye, Jacques.
Thank you for everything. Your legacy will live on in the equestrian world and through all the people you inspired and motivated.
